GALANTER TOMOSOVICH | LEGAL

Privacy Policy

EFFECTIVE:

APPLIES TO:

galantertomosovich.com

GOVERNING LAW:

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

01. What This Policy Covers

What This Policy Covers

This policy explains what information galantertomosovich.com collects, why, and what we do with it.

It applies to this website only. Information you give us once we are acting for you is governed by our engagement letter and by the professional duty of confidentiality we owe every client, which is broader than anything described here.

02. Information We Collect

Information We Collect

Information you send us. If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, telephone number, subject, and message you provide. The form delivers your message by email to our business email account.

Server logs. The company that hosts this website keeps standard server logs, which record the IP address, browser type, pages requested, and date and time of each visit. We do not use analytics software.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising purposes.

03. How We Use It

How We Use It

We use what you send us to respond to your inquiry, to check for conflicts of interest before we can consider acting, and to keep our own records of correspondence. The conflicts check may involve reviewing the names of the people and businesses you mention. We do not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing email because you contacted us.

We use server logs only to keep the site working properly and securely.

04. A Note on Confidentiality

A Note on Confidentiality

Please read this alongside our Terms & Conditions.

Sending a message through this website does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship, does not oblige us to act for you, and may not prevent us from acting for another party in the same matter. We may already be acting for someone whose interests are adverse to yours. Your message reaches us by ordinary email.

For those reasons we ask you not to send confidential details or documents through the contact form, and never to send Social Security numbers, account numbers, or passwords. Send only your name, contact details, the names of the other parties involved, and a general description of the matter. If you would like to speak with us, tell us, and we will arrange a secure way to do so.

05. Cookies & Analytics

Cookies & Analytics

Apart from the spam check described below, this site sets no cookies beyond any that are strictly necessary for it to function. It does not use analytics software, advertising cookies, tracking pixels, session-replay tools, or third-party chat services. Nothing you type into the contact form is sent to anyone other than us and the providers named in Section 6.

To block automated spam, the contact form uses a hidden check that sets no cookie. If Google reCAPTCHA is enabled on the form, Google sets a cookie and receives technical information about your device and how you interact with the form, under the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. If reCAPTCHA is enabled, we will say so on the form.

We do not track visitors over time or across other websites, and we do not allow other parties to do so through this site. Apart from the providers named in Section 6, the only third party that may receive information about your visit is Google, if reCAPTCHA is enabled, as described above. Because the site does not track you, it does not change how it works when it receives a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

If you follow a link from this site to another website, that website has its own privacy practices, which we do not control.

06. Service Providers

Service Providers

A small number of providers process information on our behalf so the site and our correspondence can operate: our website host, Pair Networks, which is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and our business email provider, Microsoft. If Google reCAPTCHA is enabled on the contact form, Google also receives the technical information described in Section 5.

Pair Networks and Microsoft are engaged under terms that limit how they may use that information, and we do not authorize either of them to use it for its own purposes. Pennsylvania law also requires a provider that holds personal information on our behalf to tell us if that information is breached. Google’s handling of reCAPTCHA data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, not by terms we control.

We may also disclose information where the law, a court order, or our professional obligations require it.

07. How Long We Keep It

How Long We Keep It

We keep inquiries for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterward. We keep a basic record of who contacted us, when, and about what, so that we can meet our professional duty to check for conflicts of interest in the future.

Where an inquiry becomes a client matter, the firm’s file retention policy applies instead.

08. Security

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us. This site is served over an encrypted connection. Contact form submissions are delivered to our business email account, which is protected by access controls, and access to inquiries is limited to the people who need it.

No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, which is one reason for the request in Section 4 not to send confidential details through the contact form.

We have procedures for responding to security incidents. If we learn of an incident involving your information, we will investigate and, where the law or our professional obligations require it, notify you without unreasonable delay.

09. Your Choices

Your Choices

You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will do so unless we need to keep it for professional or legal reasons, including our conflict-of-interest records. If you no longer want us to contact you about your inquiry, tell us and we will stop.

Write to us at kbm@galantertomosovich.com or by post using the details in Section 12.

10. Children

Children

This website is intended for businesses and adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If we learn that a child under 13 has sent us information through this site, we will delete it. If you are a parent or guardian and believe this has happened, write to us at kbm@galantertomosovich.com.

11. Changes to This Policy

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised policy on this page and change the effective date shown at the top of the page. Material changes take effect when they are posted.
